September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we’re making attendance FUN at WPE!
Each day that EVERY student in a homeroom is present, the class will earn another piece to add to their Potato Head!
Once a class completes their Potato Head, they’ll celebrate with a potato chip party!
Every day matters. Every student matters. Every minute matters.
Let’s show up, learn, grow, and WALK LIKE A WARRIOR!
Also, 2nd grade had the highest attendance percentage in August with 97.06%! They will celebrate with a popsicle party next week.
WPE raised $162 for United Way!
Homecoming Week is coming up Sept 21-25! Here are our WPE dress up days. The parade will be Thursday, Sept.24. We hope you will join us for a fun time!
Mrs. Smith’s, Mrs. Farley’s, and Mrs. Wren’s sweet kiddos were all smiles hosting their favorite visitors today and hunting for treasures together at the book fair. Nothing beats watching our youngest learners share their classrooms with the people they love most! Thank you, grandfriends, for bringing so much joy to our school family!
Our halls were filled with big smiles today as Mrs. Lee’s and Mrs. Miles’ classes welcomed special visitors for Grandparents Day! The kiddos loved showing off their classrooms and finding new stories together at the book fair.Thank you to all our amazing grandfriends for making today so unforgettable!

Our SRO Deputy Fowler had a contest in 3rd grade where students shared what makes our school safe! All of our students did a great job! The winners of the contest are Karis Lamar, Athena Scott, and Arley Overton.
